DumpSock is free, open-source, and will stay that way forever.
There is no "pro" tier. There is no paid upgrade. There is no feature you'll unlock by donating. Every line of code is Apache 2.0, every release is signed, every binary is reproducible from the public source.
If DumpSock saved you an iCloud subscription, recovered storage you needed, or just made you smile a little — you can drop us something below. It's voluntary, it's appreciated, and it's never expected.
All donations go to HARTLE.TECH (the Portuguese company behind DumpSock, NIPC 518241327). They fund:
- DumpSock's continued development (more platforms, more device support)
- Other free, local-first tools we ship under the HARTLE.TECH umbrella
- Coffee (let's be honest)

Service status: as DumpSock grows, we'll add accounts and link them here. Each entry in the table above goes live as the underlying account is created. If a link below says "coming soon", we haven't set that one up yet — the others still work.
Liberapay
Liberapay is a non-profit, fee-free recurring donation platform built specifically for free-software maintainers. Liberapay itself takes 0% — your bank or card processor takes the usual small fee, and that's it.

GitHub Sponsors
GitHub Sponsors is the most-integrated option. Once it's set up, every DumpSock repo shows a "Sponsor" button and GitHub passes 100% of your donation to us — they cover the Stripe fees themselves.

Ko-fi
Ko-fi is the indie-creator "tip jar" of choice. One-time tips have 0% platform fee (only payment-processor fees apply). Monthly memberships have a small 5% platform fee.

Buy Me a Coffee
Buy Me a Coffee is the most mainstream "tip" platform — the page looks polished, the checkout is fast, your relatives will recognize the brand. There's a 5% platform fee plus card processing.

- Recurring rewards if we ever set up paid memberships (we haven't and probably won't — DumpSock will stay free)

Direct bank / Stripe
For larger one-off donations, company sponsorships, or anyone who'd rather avoid third-party platforms entirely, we accept Stripe direct payments through a branded hosted page (or, for SEPA / wire transfer, just email us for an invoice).
This route has the lowest fees (~1.4% + €0.25 per EU card) and the money goes directly to HARTLE.TECH's business account without a platform intermediary.

What we won't do with donations
- No "donor exclusive" features. Everyone gets every feature.
- No paywalled documentation. Every doc page is and will stay public.
- No "donate to remove the ad" — there are no ads.
- No telemetry phoning home asking "would you like to donate?". DumpSock doesn't phone home at all.
- No selling our donor list. Your email and name stay with the platform you donated through; we don't import them anywhere.
What we will do with donations
- Pay for the laptops + iPhones we test new releases against.
- Pay for the (modest) cloud spend that hosts this docs site and our CI.
- Pay for the time it takes to add Android-via-MTP support, more iOS versions, broader codec coverage, and the next thing in our backlog.
- Buy each maintainer one (1) coffee per month.
